Haikus are easy. But sometimes they don’t make sense. Refrigerator
I love the ongoing t-shirt design contest, Threadless! Recently, I’ve ordered Cookie loves milk and Vegetarians are Eating the Rainforests. But Haikus are easy, which I just got in the mail, is the funniest I’ve seen so far.

Thank you for the kind words about my slogan, I was just searching to see what people said about it. Thank you again!

Yeah, it’s cool. I’m using it for a literature project where we have to choose a haiku.

Well see, I really like this haiku and have a shirt of it, but the fact is that the plural of “haiku” in the Japanese language is “haiku.” Also, in the Japanese language, the word “haiku” is considered to have three syllables. Not to be a downer because it’s very funny.

Ahh, but the haiku in question is in English, so it’s okay. In English, “haiku” only has two syllables.

Hai-a-ku’s are neat,
But sometimes they don’t make sense.
Refrigerator.
Problem solved.

The only problem is this haiku is all over the internet. I’ve seen it attributed to William Shatner. I don’t understand why Threadless doesn’t catch these things. They published a George Carlin line someone else submitted, too. Lame.
